Hungary Pulls Out Narrow Victory Against U.S. in World League, 9-8


For the second time in as many meetings with the Hungarians, the U.S. men’s water polo team was edged by a single goal. Today (Thursday), the reigning World, Olympic and World League champions were able to post a 9-8 win over Team USA in the first of two World League games this weekend in Budapest, Hungary. The loss puts the U.S. at 2-1 in league play, while Hungary improves to 3-0.
