Tax hikes may come if Hungary's opposition succeeds in referendum
"If the referendum were valid and with a result wanted by its promoters, Fidesz and the Christian Democrats (KDNP), then the lost budget revenues would need to be compensated either by withdrawing money from other areas or via tax and contribution hikes, Hungarian Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsány said.
