Now Showing In Budapest: 'Mr. Brooks'

Now Showing In Budapest: 'Mr. Brooks'
"Consider Mr. Brooks: A successful businessman, generous philanthropist, loving husband and father, a true pillar of the community. Everyone says, he’s perfect. Nonetheless, Mr. Brooks harbors a sinister secret—he’s an insatiable serial killer, so lethally clever that no one has ever suspected him—until now.

Movie type: Suspense Thriller - This is a violent, very dark serial killer thriller, but not a gory horror movie. Those who enjoy Kevin Costner in heroic roles may be put off by his villainous turn here. Demi Moore has her first leading role in many years here. Dane Cook fans may be disappointed by his fairly straight role here.

Director: Bruce A. Evans

Starring: Kevin Costner (Mr. Earl Brooks), Demi Moore (Tracy Atwood detectiv), Dane Cook (Mr. Smith), Marg Helgenberger (Emma Brooks)

Length: 2 hr. 0 min.

Script: Bruce A. Evans, Raynold Gideon

Reviews:

”Good Mr. Brooks is a curious mix of the campy and the intelligent, of high concept and low psychology. In spite of these contradictions, or perhaps because of them, it works. “Berardinelli, Internet Critic

”Below Average Mr. Brooks is far-fetched, flimsy and uninvolving.” USA Today

”Below Average A sleazy thriller with a sufficiently slick veneer to convince snooty moviegoers that it's not really just direct-to-DVD exploitation with a better cast?” TV Guide Online

”Above Average There's never really a moment when the audience isn't rooting for the title character, and more of a 'Silence of the Lambs'-like equilibrium between the two would have yielded a more rewarding film.” Newsday
