"All units of Arena Plaza, Hungary’s largest shopping mall scheduled to open in November in Budapest’s District 8, have been successfully pre-leased, global real estate advisor Cushman & Wakefield announced.Developed by Plaza Centers N.V., the new shopping mall will contain more than 200 shops, arranged on two floors within the 65,000-square-meter complex. Arena Plaza will offer a retail mix including high-street names such as Zara, H&M, C&A, Mexx, Marks&Spencer, Benetton, Mango, Guess, Palmers, Douglas, Tommy Hilfiger, Esprit, Pull&Bear, Bershka and Lacoste. The anchor tenants of Arena Plaza are Tesco, Peek & Cloppenburg – a brand new to Hungary – and Electro World.
The range of shopping and leisure opportunities at Arena Plaza will be enhanced by a selection of restaurants and cafés, and a wide range of other services. A separate floor will be occupied by a 22-screen Cinema City multiplex movie theatre incorporating Hungary’s first IMAX cinema, which offers a three-dimensional viewing experience. A two-level underground parking garage will provide space for more than 2,800 cars.
