…And the COTY People's Choice Award goes to the Hungarian Mint for its copper-nickel 50-forint that commemorates the 50th anniversary of the 1956 Hungarian revolution. The coin’s reverse was designed by Istvan Kosa of Hungary, and the coin in circulation was issued in 2 million copies by Magyar Nemzeti Bank (Central Bank of Hungary) on October 20, 2006.
The awards were presented on February 2, 2008, at the World Money Fair in Berlin, Germany."
