"The owners of the Soviet military cemetery in Kiskorpád, acquired due to a clerical error, are prepared to return it to state ownership, according to reports.Tünde Kerényi Bödő, wife of entrepreneur Imre Bödő, obtained the cemetery because it was wrongly attached in the documentation to the neighbouring plot of land bought in 2006.
Béla Puskás, secretary of the Martyrs and Heroes Foundation, which tends military graves in the country, said the 400-500m2 cemetery will be given an independent registry number and returned to the National Land Fund. The proportionate price of the cemetery will be repaid to the buyer, and the buyer has undertook to have an easement right registered for the local authority on a lane leading to the cemetery.
More than 200 Soviet soldiers who died fighting German soldiers in 1945 are buried in the cemetery."
