'An evening with Orpheus', Museum Of Fine Arts, 27 November
"Jazz Salon, guided tours and „Symposium” – the 100th Birthday of the Collection of Classical Antiquities.


Jazz Salon (Marble Hall):

Experiencing works-of-art:

7.00pm Guided tour in English! "Dressed to Impress" by Tineke Landstra 

Special Museum+ programme:

7.00pm „Symposium” – the 100th Birthday of the Collection of Classical Antiquities An evening with Orpheus.

Choral song contest. The Museum of Fine Arts and the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music have invited young composers to write a piece of music incorporating the surviving ancient musical fragment of Euripides’ Orestes. Performance of the finalist works and award ceremony. 

Essays on ancient art. A public forum for contemporary writers and scholars to discuss ancient art.
Poetry contest. Improvisations by Hungarian poets on the art objects in the Collection
Venus de Milo: a film-monologue by László Kransznahorkai (directed by András Jeles)
Greek ethno-music by the Sirtos Band 

Greek culinary specialities and a vast selection of Greek and Hungarian wines
Ongoing programs for children and adults (ancient games, live interpreters, time-travel and hands-on activities).

Admission 3200 HUF
Concessions 2000 HUF
Foreign students with International Student Card (ISIC)
