Now Showing In Budapest: 'Street Kings'

Now Showing In Budapest: 'Street Kings'
"Tom Ludlow, a veteran LAPD cop who finds life difficult to navigate after the death of his wife. When evidence implicates him in the execution of a fellow officer, he is forced to go up against the cop culture he's been a part of his entire career, ultimately leading him to question the loyalties of everyone around him."

Movie type: Action Crime Thriller - This is a violent, gritty urban crime/action drama in the vein of Training Day. Keanu Reeves fans will enjoy this change of pace role, but those drawn in by hip-hop stars Common and The Game will be disappointed by their very fleeting screen time.

Director: David Ayer

Script: James Ellroy , Kurt Wimmer

Starring: Keanu Reeves (Tom Ludlow), Hugh Laurie (James Biggs),Forest Whitaker (Jack Wander)

Length: 1 hr. 47 min.

Reviews:

“Above Average Substitute a gutsier ending, however, and this might have been something to recommend more heartily than with a half-hearted shrug. “Berardinelli, Internet Critic

“Below Average Street Kings wastes a moderately intriguing premise by filling it with laughably clichéd dialogue, one-dimensional characters and implausible turns of events.” USA Today

“Average ...overall the story feels outdated, perhaps because Ellroy originally set it immediately after the 1991 Rodney King riots.” TV Guide Online

“Average David Ayer, who wrote 'Training Day,' directs with enough flash to keep the action crisp and nasty.” Newsday
