'The Joys Of A Baroque Castle', Nagytétény Castle Museum

'The Joys Of A Baroque Castle', Nagytétény Castle Museum
"Until 5 October: Renaissance furniture and other art- and craft masterpieces are presented in an exhibition organized in the medieval-looking wing of the castle.

Renaissance joie de vivre: good wine and delicious food, the joys of music, the ambiance of medieval market places spiced up by the programmers of contemporary craftsmen and the popular “Periods and Flowers” and “Secret drawers of Furniture” exhibitions.

Exhibitions

The permanent exhibition of the Száraz-Rudnyánszky Castle offers a unique, chronological journey of the European furniture craftsmanship from the 14th to the 19th century. Among others the exhibition offers the special and unique masterpieces of renaissance interiors and furniture craftsmanship, giving an insight into the Hungarian, as well as Italian, French, Dutch, Spanish and south-German furniture history and art mementoes.

The festival in the castle park with its medieval market-commotion, showmen, performances and renaissance concerts, famous winemakers and chefs offers a real spring revival after the long winter period. Furthermore, cultural history- and scientific lectures, contemporary crafts fair, renaissance fashion performance and renaissance joy and life awaits everybody who visit the festival on the Whitsun weekend.
