"The 18th Run is organized by the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Hungary in association with the Canadian Embassy and the “Fuss a Rákkutatásért!” Foundation. The Run will be on Sunday, 14th September, 2008, 11 a.m. on Margaret Island, registration starts at 10 a.m.Since 1997 these Runs have raised approximately 140 millions HUF. 100% of the funds contributed to the cancer research in Hungary for the purchase of equipments for Hungarian researchers.
This year we will raise funds from four main sources:
• Corporate Donations - donations of any amount from companies are welcome and sincerely appreciated. Corporate Donations will be acknowledged on the Sponsors Board at the start of the Run on Margaret Island on Sunday, 14th September, 2008 as well as on our website.
• Individual Participation - registration fee: 1 500 HUF. The fee includes a T-shirt and a goody bag.
• The Raffle - tickets are sold to the public. Donated raffle prizes such as hotel stays, air plane ticket(s), dinners for two, gift baskets and other items are going to be awarded as prizes. These prizes encourage raffle ticket purchases, and hence donations to the “Fuss a Rákkutatásért!” Foundation. Tickets can be purchased in advance of Run Day for 1 000 HUF each or 6 for 5 000 HUF from the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Hungary.
• 1 % of Personal Income Tax – As a registered foundation in Hungary we are eligible to receive the 1 % of the PIT donated to us.
There is an opportunity to register teams (min. 4 people) in the office of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Hungary (CCCH) (1062 Budapest, Váci út 1-3, WestEnd City Center ‘A’ Tower, room number 313.) from 1st September till 11th September.
