"The Roman Catholic Church consecrated to St Roch was created here in 1788 by altering the djami erected by Pasha Ali in 1589.During reconstruction the praying niche was removed, the sepulchral chapel of Pasha Ali was dismantled, and the building was extended with an entrance hall, a choir, and a sanctuary.
The dome is adorned with a Baroque fresco depicting the fall and the recapture of the castle. It was created in 1789 by Stephan Dorffmeister who also painted the altarpiece. Three former Islamic washing basins are used as holy water fonts today.
