"Applicants seeking to work for the tax authority APEH next year will have to undergo an IQ test for the first time. A decree issued by Finance Minister János Veres on ordering a psychological test for job applicants stipulates that APEH will be satisfied with those applicants who have an IQ level of at least 90.APEH spokeswoman Ágnes Bakonyi told Népszabadság that more than that is involved, as the tests will also gauge the mental abilities of the applicants and their problem-solving skills.
The tests will also look for personality traits that may make prospective employees unsuitable for this kind of public service, such as below-average intelligence, inclination towards corruption, poor ability to handle tension, enhanced aggressiveness or those under psychiatric treatment."
