IBM develops technology for faster, smaller chip

According to Yahoo International Business Machines on Monday said it had developed technology to make a faster, smaller semiconductor that uses less power, in another step toward making technologies such as voice recognition commonplace.

According to Yahoo Silicon Valley, hit hard by the dot-com downturn, is going back to its roots by joining the war effort. While many companies specializing in defense have left the valley over the years, a number of them remained. Now, those firms are providing the nuts and bolts for some of the biggest defense contracts in the country.
