"Amateur long-distance runners prepare year round to test their stamina and will by taking part in BSI’s largest competition. Many of those who cross the finish line after completing the marathon distance of 42km of pain and joy consider it one of the most beautiful moments of their life.This is a running festival for both old and young with a cavalcade of events in the City Park for families and supporters. The highlights for the 150,000 visitors to the event are seeing the 15,000 runners and the evening fireworks. Participants can enter one of nine distances, either running, walking or strolling.

Expected number of participants: a total of 15 000 runners including approximately 1500 foreigners
Gifts for runners: - T-shirt for all runners bearing the logo of the event
- marathon runners will receive a medal, certificate, finish pack, results booklet and are welcome at the pasta-party.
