The HUNGUEST HOTEL PELION opened it’s gates on the 1st of July 2003 in Tapolca. This charmy little Hungarian town is famous for its caves and streams, and is situated in the west part of the Balaton highlands. The HUNGUEST HOTEL PELION is located in the city centre, in a 4-ha-large park, DIRECTLY ABOVE THE MEDICAL CAVE, WHICH IS IDEAL FOR CURING ASTHMA, ALLERGY AND OTHER RESPIRATORY DISEASES.
The special microclimatic parameters of the air in the cave are constant and no aggressive outside factors are involved. The air is practically free of pollens, the temperature is 14-16 °C. The humidity is high and there is no dust. These factors in themselves have a medicative (in case of allergy, asthma and other respiratory disorders) and tranquillising effect. To capitalise this speciality, the hotel staff compiled unique cave cure packages, which contain a pulmonological basis examination and several stays in the curative cave.
In the Hotel there are 228 rooms, of which 212 double rooms, 8 apartments, 4 suites with jacuzzi, and 4 rooms for physically disabled persons. All rooms have television (HBO), telephone, Internet access, safe and minibar. The hotel is fully air-conditioned.
The restaurant offers Hungarian, international and "bio" dishes. Room service around the clock. In the lobby bar you a wide range of coffees and drinks can be found, with music in the evenings.
The 4 tennis courts (2 indoor, 2 outdoor), 2 squash courts, badminton court, fitness room, gymnasium, minigolf, jacuzzi, fun bath, thermal pool, pool for children, sauna, infrasauna, biosauna, pool for submerging, steam bath, massage, Thai masage, aroma therapy, hairdresser's, beautician, solarium, oxarium are excellent for refreshing and relaxing your body and soul.
THE CONFERENCE ROOM FOR 300 PERSONS, THE SECTION ROOMS FOR 40 AND 50 PERSONS, the up-to-date technical equipments (casette-, cd player, projector + screen, over head projektor + screen, flip chart, microphone, 28” TV, Video) are all essential conditions of the company’s success. The business centre is situated very close to the conference area, provides the following services: copying, printing, using of computer, using of Internet, faximile sending.
The traditional bath therapy with thermal water – containing magnesium, hydrogen carbonate, sulphate, calcium, and many trace elements - with all the necessary treatments (heeling packages, hydrotherapy, electrotherapy, medicinal massage, physicotherapy, rheumatology check-ups), and the specialities like the Thai Massage are also at the guest’s disposal in the Hotel Pelion.
