Hungary's EU accession will lead to price rises in the sales of Microsoft products, one of the company's specialist vendors said.As a result of the price harmonization to be completed between May 1, 2004 and May 1, 2006, Microsoft products will be sold at uniform prices within the EU. On the Hungarian market, between May 1, 2004 and July 1, 2004, the prices of the Hungarian-language versions of the boxed products will rise 6% and the prices of the non-localized versions will go up approximately 35%, while the prices of the Open licenses will also rise 6% and 35%. A second price hike will kick in from July 1, 2004. (Econews; NG 3)
