Polus-Coop Rt, an Ajka company (west Hungary) acquired Tempo Szupermarket Kft, a supermarket chain possessing 45 stores in west Hungary. The two parties signed a preliminary contract, as both the Competition Office (GVH) and the financing banks have yet to confirm the transaction. Tempo’s previous owner was Ivydale Investments Limited, a British company registered in Cyprus. In 2003, the Tempo chain posted sales revenues of more than Ft 14 billion. (Ng 4) M.M.
