The Independent Airline Workers' Union, a union for ground crews for Malév Rt at Budapest's Ferihegy International Airport said it had called a strike for Tuesday from 4:30 a.m. to midnight. It said that if wage talks with Malév continued to flounder, it would call another strike. The union reported that Malév management had not submitted its wage increase proposals to the union in writing, as called for in the labor code. Malév's communications manager Krisztina Nemeth said she thought the union was being irresponsible and that only one of six unions plans to strike. (MTI)
