Government would cut excise tax on fuel if prices keep growing

The government will ask the parliament's authorization to change excise taxes in order to provide the possibility for intervention if fuel prices grow dramatically, government spokesperson Zoltan J Gal announced Wednesday. Gal said that if fuel prices exceed the level planned in the state budget for a long period, the government would reduce the excise tax.
