Dreher sales up 12.8% in fin. year |
In its 2003/2004 financial year, which ended on May 31, Budapest-based Dreher Breweries Rt sold 2.4 million hectoliters of beer, a 5.7% rise in volume terms from a year earlier, CEO Mike Short announced yesterday. Dreher had sales of Ft 40.5 billion, up 12.8% in a year, matched by the rise in pre-tax profit, Mr. Short said. Dreher's share of the market rose from 30% to 32% in terms of volume, while its share in terms of value was 33%. Dreher was acquired by SAB South African Breweries in 1993. According to Mr. Short, Dreher was the only brand in the declining premium sector to achieve a sales rise. (Econews; NG 4, Nv 12, MH 9)
