Finance Ministry sees squeeze-out rule different from market watchdog

Three Hungarian regional electricity distributors, Édász, Dédász and Titász said on Monday they threw out a ruling of market watchdog (PSZÁF) it had brought on the annulment of outstanding minority shares not put up for offer for majority owner E.On. The decision was triggered by a document of the Finance Ministry that interpreted squeeze-out regulations differently from PSZÁF.
