Hungarian mobile phone company Pannon GSM achieved a 15 percent rise in first-half profits to 18.15 billion forints ($88.88 million), the company said on Tuesday. Pannon is a unit or Norway's Telenor , which competes in Hungary's $2.5 billion market with Deutsche Telekom's Matav subsidiary and Vodafone .
Pannon's sales rose eight percent to 86.06 billion forints, it said in a statement quoted by the national news agency MTI.
