China’s Hainan Airlines, part-owned by global financier George Soros, the Air France-KLM holding an Austrian Airlines are among the potentials bidders for a minority stake in Hungary’s national airlines Malév, daily Világgazdaság said on Wednesday. Today’s government meeting is to tackle the final draft of State Privatisation Holding (ÁPV) on the sale of a 50% minus 1 vote Malév package.
The daily said that even more aspirants are expected after the public tender is called, depending on the conditions of the transaction, of course.
The subscribed capital of Malév amounts to HUF 3.5 billion.
