6 motorway sections to be built in a concession

The government plans to have six motorway sections built in a concession to save on construction costs, according to press information. Winners of the concessions may sign 20-25-year agreements with the government to gain the money back that they have invested in the motorways.

The sections for concession will be Görbeháza-Nyíregyháza (M3), Görbeháza-Debrecen (M35), Zamárdi-Balatonszárszó (M7), Balatonszárszó-Ordacsehi (M7), Ordacsehi-Balatonkeresztúr (M7) and the Danube bridge at Dunaújváros (M8). The total construction cost of these sections may be Ft 403 billion. On related news, motorway stickers will get 15% more expensive next year, four-day stickers will cost Ft 1,120, while 10-day stickers Ft 2,300. (Vg 4, MH 9) M.K.
