Bhs, Next to open first Budapest stores |
Bhs Ltd, U.K. billionaire Philip Green’s department store operator, and Next Plc, Britain’s third-largest clothing retailer, are planning to open stores in Hungary, A Pont reported, without citing anyone.Bhs and Next are negotiating with potential Hungarian partners and looking for suitable property to open their first stores in Budapest, the newspaper said. A shortage of retail space in the city’s main shopping areas is delaying the openings, according to the paper. Bhs already has stores in Lithuania and Russia, while there are four Next locations in the Czech Republic. (Bloomberg)
