Hungarian telecommunications group Matav has submitted a binding bid for Montenegro's Telekom CG, Matav said in a statement on Wednesday.
"Matav's intention to acquire the shares of Telekom CG is in line with the strategic priority of seeking growth opportunities through value creating acquisitions," it said.
Matav is a unit of Germany's Deutsche Telekom .
Earlier on Wednesday Telekom Austria also said that it submitted a binding offer for the Montenegrin firm.
Matav said the details of its bid were confidential.
