Hungarian oil and gas company MOL said on Thursday it had appointed Ray Leonard, most recently vice president exploration and production with Russia's Yukos, as the head of its international upstream business.
"We are very glad to have Ray join us and we believe that his experience will help MOL to achieve its strategic targets in the international expansion of its upstream portfolio," MOL said in a statement.
MOL is on the hunt for new upstream assets and said that Leonard's experience, knowledge and connections in the CIS area other parts of the world "will greatly benefit our group".
Leonard also worked for Amoco Eurasia, where he was vice-president for resource acquisitions.
