Several potential strategic investors have shown interest in purchasing Budapest Airport, the company operating Budapest's international airport, daily Világgazdaság said on Wednesday. The potential bidders include the companies running the Copenhagen and Frankfurt airports and Ferrovial from Iberia.
Hungary plans to privatize the airport, which claims to be the fastest growing airport in the region in 2004. The state privatisation agency ÁPV's Board of Directors chose a consortium of CSFB and Concorde in February to be the privatisation advisor to the upcoming sale.
