The Review
Cuisine: Conventional Hungarian cooking, with an emphasis on freshwater fish dishes.
Atmosphere: Not much, which is a great shame, as a smart designer could work wonders with the interior of this baroque building on Lajos utca. The phrase “shabby elegance” springs to mind, while the furniture and fittings are outdated and characterless. The sunlit function room looking out on to the courtyard, on which there is seating in summer, has a more friendly ambience, however.
Whom to take: Fine for a filling lunch of Wiener schnitzels or the like with colleagues. Also suitable for functions. Click here for the full story, www.bbj.hu!
