Xpat Film Club news from Jon Harman, Club Captain

"The Xpat Film Club launched last week like the flash of a light saber. 35 xpat movie fans attended two separate screenings of the newly released "Star Wars III" at the Palace Cinemas MOM Park.

VJ Maury, of the Palace Cinema chain, dropped by before the Sunday screening to welcome us and provide insight into the digital projection system featured for the MOM Park exhibition of Star Wars.

Over post screening refreshments (beer) the consensus was that this final "Star Wars" picture was a real treat--so much like the original three movies that it felt like going back in time.

It looks to be a big summer movie season. We're considering events for Steven Spielberg's "War of the Worlds" and Tim Burton's "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" among others.

As always, movie lovers of all stripes are invited to join us at our soon to be announced June event, so, see you when the lights go down.
