Herbie: Fully Loaded

Share |
The world’s grooviest VW goes to places no one ever imagined he might go— transforming from Junkyard Herbie to Street Racer Herbie to Demolition Herbie to attaining the ultimate dream of becoming NASCAR Herbie.

The legendary “Love Bug” who became an icon in the ’60s rides again in 2005; only this time he’s partnering up with Lindsay Lohan and headed from the scrap-yard heap to the high banked curves of NASCAR as he helps a young female race-car driver discover her destiny.

Movie type: Action Comedy Adventure - A fast paced, feel-good story with heart. As expected, the story is more than a bit far-fetched, but it's clean, fun and exciting.

Director: Angela Robinson

Starring: Lindsay Lohan, Matt Dillon, Michael Keaton

Length: 1 hr. 32 min.

Review:

Roger Ebert

Average The movie is pretty cornball. Little kids would probably enjoy it, but their older brothers and sisters will be rolling their eyes, and their parents will be using their iPods.

TV Guide Online

Average The '80s-heavy soundtrack is puzzling at first, but ends up working surprisingly well with the modern-day story. Ultimately, though, only those who really love the Bug will be willing to put up with the loose plot and over-the-top action scenes.

Showing in English from 25 Aug:
