"United Way Hungary announced this week that it will donate HUF 2 million to Bethesda Children’s Hospital for the purchase of life-saving surgical equipment. The money was raised at the 5th annual 'Corporate Social Responsibility' dinner held on April 21 in downtown Budapest.Over 160 guests enjoyed a specially prepared four-course dinner at the Marriott Hotel in the newly remodeled ballroom. Top business executives and entrepreneurs, key leaders from government and foreign embassies, as well as top managers from the NGO and civic sector joined together for this unique, once a year event. The evening featured dynamic speakers, live music, and an exclusive charity auction.
Guests were invited to bid on interesting, one-of-a-kind auction items, including adopting a gorilla at the Budapest Zoo, coffee with silver medallist Olympic swimmer László Cseh, private golf lessons with Brett Williams, exclusive boating and flying opportunities, and gourmet meals.
