The town of Siklós will explore thermal springs of its own and start tapping by the end of the year, Mayor János Marenics said after talks with the neighboring spa town of Harkány on sharing the latter's thermal water came to a deadlock. The availability of thermal water in Siklós is one of the prerequisites for a Ft 10 billion real estate project outlined by developer TriGránit Rt that would create a five-star hotel complete with 30 rooms and a conference center in Siklós, in addition to a spa hotel in Harkány and an aquapark between the two towns. In recent news, President and CEO of OTP Bank Rt Sándor Csányi and Nathaniel Rothschild, a senior member of the Rothschild family, have recently bought respective shares of 10% and 15% in TriGránit from AIG New Europe Fund and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
