Hungarian Socialists Court LMP & Forum Voters
"Socialist Party president Ildikó Lendvai said yesterday that she expects those who supported LMP and the Democratic Forum or who stayed home during the first round to vote for her party in the second round of parliamentary elections.

She told reporters that the Socialists are open to any solution, including the possibility of stepping aside in favour of candidates for other parties.

Noting that LMP is safely into Parliament, and its candidates are mostly in third or fourth place, Lendvai said LMP leaders and voters must realise that eight to ten constituencies must be overturned in order to prevent Fidesz from obtaining a two-thirds majority.

However, LMP declared yesterday that its candidates will not step aside anywhere in the second round."
