Now Showing In Budapest: 'Crank: High Voltage'
"Chev hitting the asphalt of a busy downtown LA intersection, only to be kidnapped by a mysterious group of Asian gangsters. Three months later, Chev wakes up on an operating table, where a team of Chinese doctors have surgically removed his heart and replaced it with a battery-powered artificial device that needs to be charged regularly in order to keep him alive."

Movie type:Action - Like the first film, this is a hyperactive action film with strong doses of humor, but this time around everything is even more over the top, cartoonish, and potentially offensive, from the violence to the sexuality and nudity to the comedy. Those sensitive to graphic violence, sex, and politically incorrect views of women and ethnic minorities should proceed with caution, and the extreme content and subject matter makes the film inappropriate for children.

Director: Brian Taylor, Mark Neveldine

Script: Mark Neveldine, Brian Taylor

Starring:Jason Statham (Chev Chelios), Amy Smart (Eve), David Carradine (Poon Dong)

Length:1 hr. 25 min.

Reviews:

Rob Humanick: “Both exhilarating and exhausting, it falls just short of a fever pitch.”

Leah Holmes: “Crank: High Voltage is a real celebration of the phrase "Why not?". It's big, loud and brainless - and it's all the more glorious for it.”

Jeannette Catsoulis: “Crank: High Voltage, starring Jason Statham as a man with a machine instead of a heart, is boorish, bigoted and borderline pornographic. “
