'Run For Cancer Research', Margaret Island, 13 September

The 19th Run will be organized by the “Fuss a Rákkutatásért!” Alapítvány in association with the Canadian Embassy, the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Hungary and Friends of Canada on Sunday, 13 September 2009, 11 a.m. on Margaret Island.

Since inception the Runs has raised approximately HUF 150 millions and contributed to cancer research in Hungary for the purchase of equipments for Hungarian researchers.

This year we will raise funds from four main sources:

• Corporate Donations - donations of any amount from companies are welcomed and sincerely appreciated. Corporate Donations will be acknowledged on the Sponsor Board at the start of the Run on Margaret Island on Sunday, 13 September, 2009 as well as on our website.

• Individual Participation – Run participants may also contribute to the cause by purchasing T-shirts of the Run.

• The Raffle - tickets are sold to the public. Donated raffle prizes such as flight tickets, hotel stays, dinners for two, gift baskets and other items are awarded as prizes. These prizes encourage raffle ticket purchases and hence donations to the “Fuss a Rákkutatásért!” Alapítvány. Tickets can be purchased in advance of Race Day for HUF 1000 each or 6 for HUF 5,000 from the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Hungary.

• 1 % of Personal Income Tax – As a registered foundation in Hungary we are eligible to receive the 1 % of the PIT donated to us.
