The top court in the city of Budapest has ordered rapid legal proceedings to rule on the validity of a lower court ruling that the sale process for the city's airport was invalid as it had breached workers' rights.
Budapest Court said in a statement on Thursday the case would take precedence over other legal proceedures.
The first round of the tender to sell the airport attracted bids of around $2 billion.
The five bidders in the second round are Germany's Hochtief AG , which made the highest bid, Frankfurt Airport operator Fraport AG , Britain's BAA Plc , Denmark's Copenhagen Airports A/S and Australia's Macquarie Airports Holdings Ltd .
Bids in the second round of the tender are due on November 2.
