Offers submitted by four companies in a bid to build and operate an electronic ticket system for the Budapest Public Transport Company Rt (BKV) ranged between Ft 67 billion and Ft 84 billion, business daily Világgazdaság reported yesterday, citing project manager András Koos.The four bidders are EDS Magyarország Kft, Sagem Magyarország Kft, MAV Informatikai Kft and T-Systems Rt. Monday was the deadline for bidding in the tender, and negotiations will start on September 22. The new system, expected to be in place by May 2006, will generate an additional Ft 2.5 billion-3 billion a year for BKV, by discouraging fare dodging. (Econews; Vg 9)
