"The primary school in Szederkény, Baranya county, was closed for ten days on Tuesday after 60 pupils were found to be infected with the H1N1 virus.Regional head doctor Károly Schaeffer said the school will definitely remain closed until next Wednesday.
Mayor János Hergenrőder said the school has been disinfected but no gatherings will be held there in the near future. He acknowl-edged that he had visited Ukraine, which is suffering from a serious outbreak, in late Oc-tober, but as the ten-day latency period of the virus ended last week, he and his friends could not have infected the pupils, he said.
However, Schaffer said the pupils could have contracted the flu from the delegation that visited Ukraine on October 23-26.
So far 2 million anti-flu vaccines have been delivered to family doctors, Health Min-ister Tamás Székely announced on Tuesday. He said 4 million more doses need to be is-sued before the vaccine can be exported."
