"A 29-year-old man has confessed to committing the triple murder on a farm in Tompa, southern Hungary on November 4. The suspect in the killing of an elderly couple and their daughter was detained on Monday following an analysis of evidence found during a ten-day inspection. He had been employed by the family.The man first beat to death the 62-year-old wife and then her physically disabled 65-year-old husband. He then hid the family car in some bushes and tried to conceal evidence of the murders.
When the 41-year-old daughter arrived home, the murderer lured her to a side building where he also killed her by striking several blows.
The suspect told police that he had worked for the family in the guest house and farm near Tompa for the last eight months as a manual labourer. He killed the older woman after he had an argument with her, then slew her husband lest he report the murder.
Police had questioned the suspect on the day of the murders but it became clear only after the evidence was examined that he was the culprit.
An investigating unit of dozens of people questioned over 100 witnesses and worked around the clock. "
