"Fidesz could obtain a two-thirds majority if elections were held this Sunday, the latest survey by the Nezopont Institute suggests. With voter support at 54% for Fidesz, 20% for the Socialists, 16% for Jobbik, and 8% for the Democratic Forum, Fidesz would have 267 MPs, the Socialists 54, Jobbik 46 and the Democratic Forum 19.Meanwhile, a Tarki poll said the difference between Fidesz and the Socialists is 40 percentage points, down from 51 in November. Among decided voters Fidesz has 62% support, down from 68% in November, while the Socialists’ standing is at 22%, up from 17% in November.
Jobbik support is unchanged at 11%, while the Democratic Forum has 4% support, up from 2% in November, Politics Can Be Different has 1% support, down from 3% in November and the Free Democrats 1%.
Some 51% of respondents said they would vote, up from 44% in November.
The results are based on a January 8-18 survey of 1,000 people."
