'Mark Knopfler Concert', Budapest Sportaréna, 4 July
"Mark Knopfler, the famous guitar virtuoso and singer, recently announced the launch of his 2010 tour, where among other songs he will perform the hits of his new album Get Lucky in Budapest Sportaréna on 4 July.

Get Lucky is the sixth solo album by the legendary musician, Mark Knopfler. Through the eleven songs we can get to know the roots of the singer, which inspire his music – the title song is especially revealing.

“The first hobo that I ever met was singing in a soul group during winter time, but when the weather turned for the better, he left his favourite “playground” and went to south to harvest fruits.” – Kopfler says – “I was fifteen, imprisoned by school, being jealous of this kind of free lifestyle. The story of Get Lucky is based on this character and many similar people who I met during the short period when I worked at different places, before making the breakthrough with my songs.”

Even during the times of Dire Straits, the multiple Grammy award winning singer, songwriter and guitar player combined unusual lyrics and powerful guitar music with a special sense, and created hits such as Money For Nothing, Sultans Of Swing, Romeo & Juliet and Walk Of Life.

He also worked as a producer on the albums of Bob Dylan and Randy Newman. In addition, he wrote several soundtracks. The most popular one is Local Hero, which proved to be a huge success on its own as well."
