"Budapest Police captured seven pickpockets around the city in just one day on Saturday.Two thieves were detained on Blaha Lujza tér when they tried to sell a mobile phone they had stolen. Two others who had been watched by police were caught in the act of rifling through the handbag of a Slovak woman on Széna tér in Buda. Police caught two others in a fast-food cafeteria in the 20th District as they tried to steal something from a woman, and a seventh pickpocket was caught at Blaha Lujza tér Saturday evening.
There are at least 1,000-1,200 pickpockets in Budapest, of whom 600 are active, police official Judit Bánföldi Liszi told Népszabadság."
