"Victoria is in line for the throne but she is being controlled everyone around. She makes changes and marries Albert. There are problems in the lives but when Albert protects her from an assassin's bullet, Victoria realizes how much he loves her. After banishing Lehzen and Conroy, Victoria moves Albert's desk next to hers and together they ruled the country."Movie type: Drama Romantic - This is a period costume drama/romance aimed at older moviegoers, especially women. Fans of Emily Blunt should be pleased, but some of the more familiar faces in smaller roles, such as Jim Broadbent, may be disappointed. There isn't much in the way of objectionable content, but kids wouldn't be interested anyhow.

USA Today: “Good Though the film moves at a stately pace, the production design and costumes are sumptuous and the ensemble cast is splendid.”
Dallas News: “Average If The Young Victoria never transcends its fussy trappings – it's still a familiar costume drama – it remains brisk and intelligent,...”
