"Former prime minister Ferenc Gyurcsány will make a speech on Hungary’s last few years and the tasks ahead at a Democratic Charta public function on March 19.Gyurcsány has until now only addressed closed party forums since resigning as pre-mier last year.
The fight has begun over who will be So-cialist Party caucus leader and chairman, Magyar Hírlap comments.
Gyurcsány has a vested interest in elec-toral failure, which could bring a special party convention early in the summer. If Jobbik fin-ishes ahead of the Socialists in the elections, Gyurcsány could become caucus leader, the right-wing daily adds."
