Hungary Magyar Telekom wins emergency network tender

Hungary's Magyar Telekom won the right to build and operate a digital telecommunications network for Hungary's emergency services, the government company said on Monday.


Magyar Telekom will be paid 9.325 billion forints ($44.05 million) a year for ten years to operate the network, the government said in a statement.

The national network will be put in operation by January 31, 2007.
