ESPN America Is Available Again In UPC Hungary’s Digital Cable Tv Service Offering
"Taking into consideration the numerous requests from its English language expat customers, enthousiasts of American football, baseball and other American sports, UPC Hungary has made available again the program of ESPN America as part of its digital cable services, as from August 2, 2010. UPC’s contract to distribute ESPN America has been terminated this Spring.

Based on the customer remarks, UPC started negotiations with ESPN America in order to put the program back in the channel line-up, in more advanced quality and, at the same time, in a way topreserve for the fans the accessibility of the most popular sports and championships. As a result of the agreement concluded, ESPN America is now available as part of the UPC digital gold hd dvr package.

In the beginning, the program is temporarily distributed in standard (SD) picture format because very popular National Football League (NFL) championship is currently only broadcasted in this traditional version.

According to the channel’s promise, as from November the latest, the high-definition (HD) version of the program is going to include NFL content as well. UPC will then immediately switch to the HD version for the most advanced picture quality and the best viewer experience."
