Hungary ex-PM accuses gov't of tampering budget figures

Head of Hungary's main opposition party Fidesz has said in an interview on Friday that the size of Parliament should be halved and the lowest rate of personal income tax need to be reduced, as well.

He said bankers were okay in his book, but added that billionaire Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsány should be finance minister at the most, not the premier of the country. Orbán denied rumours that he goes hunting with OTP chief Sándor Csányi, but admitted they consult in different issues from time to time.

He also accused the government of falsifying budget figures.
