DTZ represents Immorent in huge leasing deal with Unilever

DTZ's Budapest office has advised Sparkassen Immobilien AG - managed by Immorent - in the renegotiation of Unilever's lease of approximately 9,000 square metres, the largest leasing deal in Budapest during the last four months, DTZ has announced on Friday.

Unilever has agreed to a new extended lease term for the self-contained building in Váci Street, built-to-suit in 2002, with Unilever's originally contract expiring in 2007.

"It is great news that a deal could be agreed for Unilever to stay for a longer period of time," said Shaun Jenkinson, deputy managing director of DTZ Hungary.

“With a large development pipeline ready for delivery in 2007, market competition for such a desirable tenant is extremely high. This provides another example of how agents can add value to negotiations with existing tenants in addition to providing new lettings," Jenkinson added.

Immorent AG are part of the Austrian Erste Bank Group with property holdings in Austria, Italy and throughout Central & Eastern Europe.
