Invitation: Music In Colours, Keren Hanan's Exhibition Opens In Budapest On 15 September
"Internationally acclaimed Concert Pianist Keren Hanan has given recitals throughout the world, including New York, Boston, Rome, London, Budapest, Israel, Cyprus, Vietnam and China. She has performed with the leading Orchestras including the Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra with Zubin Mehta, the Belgrade Philharmonic, and the Budapest Festival Orchestra, among others.

Keren is also an accomplished painter. Her insightful works have reached private collections in New York, London, Tel Aviv, Prague, Vienna and Budapest.

In the past two years Keren has worked on a concept, Music in Colours, a fusion of two art forms – Music and Painting. Through the use of colour, texture, and movement, Keren translates her feelings and deep insights of music into a visual art form.

On March 2011, she appeared on TED to talk about her concept of Music in Colours.

The Music in Colours – A New World Exhibition will take place at the Israeli Cultural Institute in Budapest.
Address:  Paulay Ede Utca, 1.

The Exhibition is open to the public from the 15th of September until the 23rd of October, 2011.

On the 26th of September and the 16th of October 18:30 – 20:00 there will be a unique opportunity to meet Keren and listen to her talk about the Music in Colours concept and the paintings at the Exhibition.

Music in Colours – A New World Exhibition includes some of Keren’s most fascinating works:

A New World
(150x200 cm Oil on Canvas)

"From the New World"
Flying high, one can hear the
wings flapping.
Freedom, great hope,
into a new world.

Inspired by: Dvořák Symphony "From the New World"

Planet Earth
(100x100 cm Oil on Canvas)

From up, above,
in silence.
The only place we know.
Individuals become one,

De Profundis
(150x150 cm Oil on Canvas)

“... From the depth, I called out to thee, Hashem” (Psalm 130)

Inspired by: John Williams, Schindler’s List
